SHOOT TIPS & INFO
Before the shoot
For a lot of my clients, it's their first photo shoot and they can arrive looking a little nervous but I soon put them at ease and we always have a lot of fun.
Try and get a good night's sleep the night before and make sure to drink plenty of water. This will help with the vibrance of your skin and to avoid puffy eyes.
Headshot shoots
What type of look are you aiming for? Indoors, outdoors, corporate, arty?? I'm happy to offer any of the above. We can discuss in advance what look best suits you and plan from there.
Portfolio shoots
I always work with natural light which enables the shoot to be quick and efficient and allows me more flexibility. No hanging around bored whilst the lights are set up!
I don't like to plan too much in advance as I prefer shoots to be fast and spontaneous. We have a good chat beforehand regarding where you might fancy going (rural, urban, seaside etc.) then go from there! I'm happy to drive around stopping off at various locations to get a variety of looks and backgrounds.
It's all very relaxed and fun!
What to Wear?
Bring a selection of your favourite outfits including basics like jeans, leggings, hoodies, t-shirts, jumpers, etc. A couple of footwear options is enough but try and include a pair of heals ladies! I have a range of items too which you are welcome to borrow.
Try to avoid patterns, logos and stripes!
Don't worry too much as we can discuss things beforehand but should you wish to book a stylist, Inger Moss is my regular go-to.
Hair & Makeup
Hair: Please arrive with your hair how you want it for the shoot. Bring any products, ties or brushes you might need.
Makeup: Do your make-up how you would like it for the shoot. Try to avoid heavy foundation and keep your eyebrows as natural as possible.
I can supply a makeup artist or hairdresser or both if required. Prices start from £40.
Editing
I'm an experienced post-production editor so can guarantee that your final images will reflect you in the best possible way.
The final chosen images will be supplied on a CD in full resolution and digitally via email.
Payment
Payment can either be cash on the day of the shoot or by bank wire transfer.
